    •    Coat: Short to medium, smooth or rough

    •    Colours: Black, red, chocolate, or blue; often with tan markings

    •    Tail: Medium length, slightly curved

    •    Ears: Pointed and erect

Temperament

    •    Highly intelligent, alert, and independent

    •    Energetic and extremely driven

    •    Loyal and great with children

    •    Can be reserved with strangers but generally friendly

    •    Excellent problem-solvers

Exercise & Activity

    •    Energy Level: high; needs lots of mental and physical stimulation

    •    Ideal Activities: Walking, running, playing with children, beaches

    •    Note: Without enough activity, can become bored and develop behavioural issues

Training

    •    Very trainable, but needs consistent guidance

    •    Thrives on positive reinforcement and tasks that challenge the mind

    •    Early socialisation is important to prevent shyness 

Health

    •    Lifespan: 12–15 years

    •    Common Health Issues: Hip dysplasia, progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), deafness in some lines

    •    Care: Regular vet visits, balanced diet, routine exercise

Grooming

    •    Shedding: Moderate; heavier in seasonal changes

    •    Brushing: Weekly is usually enough

    •    Bathing: Only as needed; coat naturally repels dirt

    •    Best suited to Families, Singles and couples with active lifestyles

    •    Needs space to run and mental stimulation

    •    Can adapt to suburban living if daily exercise needs are met
